We recognise the value of a strong finance team, aligned, working with operating units across the business. The Finance team plays a significant role in the decision making process and is integral to the teams they support.

Our Commercial Finance team is based in our Maidenhead office most of our Operations Finance teams are in the field; both work closely with operational colleagues driving the sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution activities respectively. A shared service centre manages central finance functions such as the general ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and payroll and is based in Liverpool.

We are focused on providing a high level of finance support and challenge to our internal customers in order to maximise the returns for the business’ stakeholders. Given that, the kind of finance people that do well in Milling and Baking are those who can very quickly figure out how the business works and where the opportunities for change and improvement are.

We value our people highly and in addition to the development that comes from a stretching role we work closely with the professional accountancy bodies to ensure our finance team are able to meet continuing professional development requirements.
